Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Last Updated: July 20, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use govern the Wild Texas Travel Calculator (“Service”), which is operated by Tranquility Insights LLC, doing business as Wild Texas (“Wild Texas,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

The Wild Texas Travel Calculator provides driving distance calculations, route planning, estimated travel times, maps, route-by-leg summaries, turn-by-turn directions, printable route snapshots, autocomplete suggestions, and recent-search functionality through web-based tools that require an active internet connection.

Important: The Service is for route planning purposes only. It is not intended for real-time navigation while driving.

Recent Searches

When available for your account, Recent searches may retain the location text you entered so that you can quickly run the search again. A Recent search is not a permanently saved route. When you reopen a Recent search, the Service performs a new location lookup and route calculation using then-current third-party data. The resulting route, distance, travel time, directions, and map may differ from an earlier calculation.

Third-Party Mapping Services

The Service relies on third-party mapping, geocoding, routing, map-tile, payment, hosting, and related service providers. Location suggestions, standardized place names, coordinates, route geometry, travel times, directions, and maps may be supplied or generated by those providers and are subject to their availability, coverage, technical limitations, and applicable terms.

3. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

ROUTE DATA IS PROVIDED FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY.

  • The Service is not intended for navigation while driving.
  • Wild Texas is not responsible for road closures, construction, traffic, weather conditions, emergencies, events, or other delays.
  • Wild Texas is not responsible for local restrictions, seasonal restrictions, private roads, tolls, ferries, weight limits, height restrictions, width restrictions, hazmat routes, vehicle restrictions, or road suitability.
  • Routes, distances, travel times, directions, and maps may change after calculation.
  • Autocomplete and geocoding results may identify a different place than the location you intended. You are responsible for reviewing every selected location before calculating or using a route.
  • Always verify critical route information through current official sources.
  • Commercial drivers must independently verify route compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, permits, vehicle restrictions, and company policies.

The Service utilizes third-party mapping and routing data. While we strive to provide useful results, we make no warranty regarding the completeness, reliability, timeliness, suitability, or accuracy of any location suggestion, route calculation, travel-time estimate, map, or direction.

Road signs, traffic signals, traffic laws, law-enforcement instructions, emergency instructions, official closure notices, and actual road conditions always take priority over information displayed by the Service.

Printed Routes

A printed route is a snapshot of information available at the time it was generated. Printed maps and directions do not update automatically and may become inaccurate because of construction, closures, traffic, weather, changed access, changed routing data, or other conditions. Recalculate and verify a route before travel.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

  • Annual subscription
  • Personal: $59, including 10,000 calculations per year
  • Business: $149, including 30,000 calculations per year
  • Payments processed through Stripe
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled
  • 30-day money-back guarantee, subject to Section 8

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Existing subscribers will receive 30 days’ notice before any price increase. Price changes apply at your next renewal date. Your current subscription term continues at the original price. You may cancel before renewal to avoid the new price.

5. Acceptable Use

Annual Calculation Limit

Your subscription includes 10,000 Personal or 30,000 Business route calculations per year. Once this limit is reached, access to calculations may be suspended until your renewal date or until additional access is purchased or otherwise approved.

Fair Use Policy

The Service is designed for individual route planning and legitimate business travel needs. We reserve the right to limit, suspend, or terminate access for usage patterns that:

  • Indicate automated or systematic access
  • Substantially exceed normal travel-planning requirements
  • Suggest commercial data harvesting, extraction, or redistribution
  • Impact Service performance or availability for other users
  • Violate the terms or usage restrictions of a third-party service provider used by the Service

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other automated access methods
  • Engage in bulk or batch processing except through a feature expressly authorized by Wild Texas
  • Access the Service through an API or programmatic method unless Wild Texas has expressly authorized that access in writing
  • Screen scrape, data mine, reverse engineer, or systematically extract information from the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, publish, or commercially redistribute Service data, third-party mapping data, geocoding results, route data, maps, or directions
  • Attempt to extract, cache, download, or retain substantial portions of third-party route or location data beyond what the Service expressly permits
  • Use the Service or its outputs to build, train, test, or improve a competing mapping, geocoding, routing, or travel-calculation product
  • Remove or obscure required third-party attribution, notices, logos, or proprietary labels
  • Circumvent access restrictions, usage limits, security controls, or technical safeguards
  • Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or any third-party service used by the Service

Account Security and Sharing

Your account credentials, including your username and password, must be kept secure.

Permitted sharing:

  • Members of your immediate household
  • Direct family members living in the same household
  • Employees of the business entity that purchased the subscription

Not permitted:

  • Sharing with friends, extended family outside your household, or unrelated third parties
  • Posting credentials in public or semi-public forums
  • Selling or transferring your account to another party
  • Using one account across multiple unrelated business entities

You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.

If we detect simultaneous usage from widely separated geographic locations or other patterns suggesting unauthorized sharing, we may suspend your account or require additional subscriptions.

Business Accounts

  • If purchased for business use, the account may be used by employees and authorized contractors of that specific business entity.
  • Close business partners working on joint projects may share access at the account holder’s discretion, subject to reasonable use and these Terms.

Note: If a Business account is shared among excessive users, it may exceed normal usage patterns and require additional annual subscriptions. Larger organizations or organizations with extensive contractor relationships should plan to purchase multiple subscriptions or contact Wild Texas.

6. Account Termination and Violations

Standard Violations

For first-time violations of these Terms, except egregious violations listed below, we may:

  1. Issue a warning and provide an opportunity to remedy the violation
  2. Suspend Service temporarily if the behavior continues
  3. Terminate the account for repeated violations

Egregious Violations

The following may result in immediate termination without warning:

  • Attempted hacking or unauthorized access
  • Commercial redistribution of our data or third-party data supplied through the Service
  • Use of automated scraping, extraction, or credential-abuse tools
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Actions that compromise Service security, integrity, performance, or availability
  • Conduct that exposes Wild Texas or a third-party provider to legal, contractual, security, or financial risk

Termination for violations may result in loss of access without refund or other redress, subject to applicable law.

7. Service Availability

While we make reasonable efforts to maintain Service availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable, delayed, limited, or changed because of:

  • Scheduled or emergency maintenance
  • Third-party service disruptions, outages, rate limits, policy changes, or access restrictions
  • Technical failures
  • Security events
  • Changes to mapping, geocoding, routing, payment, hosting, or other provider services
  • Circumstances beyond our control

We work to maintain reliable service, though interruptions may occur. No formal uptime guarantee or service-level agreement is provided. We are not liable for damages arising from Service unavailability, delay, or third-party outages, subject to applicable law.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

  • Within 30 days of initial purchase: A full refund is available. Access ends immediately upon refund.
  • After 30 days from initial purchase: No refund is available. Access continues through the paid subscription term.
  • Cancellation: Available at any time. Contact Support to cancel.
  • Non-renewal: Cancel before renewal to prevent automatic renewal. Access continues through the current paid term unless a refund is issued.

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute regarding the Service, you agree to first contact Wild Texas and make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute. Refunds, when warranted, may be issued as full and final settlement of the dispute. These Terms are governed by Texas law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Texas, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Rights

All content, branding, software, features, page designs, and original functionality of the Service are owned by Tranquility Insights LLC, doing business as Wild Texas, or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Location data, geocoding results, map tiles, maps, route calculations, route geometry, travel times, directions, and related information may be supplied by third-party providers and remain subject to those providers’ rights, licenses, attribution requirements, restrictions, and terms. Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership of third-party data or the right to independently store, reproduce, extract, republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit that data.

Required mapping and directions attribution must not be removed, hidden, or altered. When the Service displays third-party attribution, logos, notices, or links, you agree not to obscure or interfere with them.

11. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, AND THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TRANQUILITY INSIGHTS LLC, DOING BUSINESS AS WILD TEXAS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR PERSONAL PROPERTY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

TRANQUILITY INSIGHTS LLC, DOING BUSINESS AS WILD TEXAS, IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOSSES, INJURIES, DELAYS, FINES, PROPERTY DAMAGE, MISSED APPOINTMENTS, REGULATORY VIOLATIONS, OR OTHER CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON A LOCATION SUGGESTION, ROUTE, MAP, DIRECTION, DISTANCE, TRAVEL-TIME ESTIMATE, PRINTED ROUTE, OR THIRD-PARTY DATA.

THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF TRANQUILITY INSIGHTS LLC, DOING BUSINESS AS WILD TEXAS, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS OR LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tranquility Insights LLC, doing business as Wild Texas, and its members, managers, affiliates, service providers, licensors, contractors, and representatives from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, penalties, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, infringement of third-party rights, or unlawful use of Service outputs.

14. Data Privacy and Retention

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy.

Account and Transaction Information

We retain account, subscription, support, security, and transaction information as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Payment-card information is processed by Stripe and is subject to Stripe’s privacy and security practices.

Route Inputs and Recent Searches

The Service may temporarily process the location text you enter, selected autocomplete information, and route-related data to provide location suggestions, maps, directions, distances, travel-time estimates, printing, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and support.

When Recent searches is enabled, Wild Texas may retain the location text you entered, together with limited account and search metadata needed to display and manage that history. Recent searches are intended to store search inputs, not permanently fixed routes. When a Recent search is reopened, the Service performs a new geocoding and routing request.

Unless Wild Texas has obtained the rights and account configuration required for permanent geocoding storage, Wild Texas does not intentionally retain third-party temporary geocoding coordinates, standardized geocoding results, route geometry, map tiles, turn-by-turn directions, or calculated route outputs for reuse across sessions. Temporary technical data may be processed in memory, transmitted between systems, or retained briefly in logs, caches, backups, security systems, or diagnostic records as reasonably necessary to operate and protect the Service.

Third-Party Processing

Your location searches and route requests may be transmitted to third-party mapping, geocoding, routing, hosting, security, analytics, or infrastructure providers. Those providers may process technical information and request data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of eligible account or Recent search information by contacting Wild Texas, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, contractual, backup, and record-retention requirements.

15. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email, Service announcement, account notice, or another reasonable method. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Geographic Restrictions

The Service may not be available, complete, or equally functional in all locations. Mapping, geocoding, routing, traffic, road-restriction, and travel-time coverage may vary by country, region, roadway, or provider. Legal, technical, contractual, or provider restrictions may limit availability in certain jurisdictions. We make no guarantee of availability or coverage in all locations.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any subscription, order, refund, or product-specific terms presented to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and Wild Texas regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements or understandings concerning the Service.
