Yes. An internet connection is required to calculate routes and load maps. You may print a point-in-time route snapshot for reference where service is limited, but it is not live navigation and does not update for construction, closures, traffic, weather, restrictions, or other changes. Follow posted signs, official instructions, and actual road conditions.
Each request that calculates a route counts as one calculation, including a route submitted again from Recent searches. Viewing the current result or printing that result does not create another route calculation. A multi-stop trip is submitted as one route request.
The system will warn you when you're approaching your limit. Once you reach your calculation limit, you will not be able to calculate new routes until January 1st when your limit resets. Personal users can upgrade to a Business plan anytime for additional calculations. Business plan users can contact support to discuss options.
