About the Park

Situated on a hilltop at the south end of Canyon Dam, Overlook Park offers a scenic view of Canyon Lake and Dam. The Canyon Lake headquarters of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is located at the park, and visitors are welcome. No camping or picnic facilities are available.

Hikers can take the Verada Real walking trail across Canyon Dam or explore the nature trails along the north side, across from the restrooms.

Location

From FM 306, follow South Access Road to Corps of Engineers (C.O.E) Road and turn right and proceed up the hill. From FM 2673 at Sattler, go northwest on South Access Road for 2 miles, turn left on C.O.E. Road and proceed up the hill.

The nearest major Texas cities are: Austin, Corpus Christi, Houston, Laredo, San Antonio
