STS-120 Landing Today - Wild Texas Forums: Parks, Travel & Recreation

Just a heads up (since I missed watching the launch live on NASA TV), that STS-120, Space Shuttle Discovery, is landing in about an hour at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. They're about 2 minutes away from beginning their deorbit burn, at this moment. :thumbsup:

Safe and home. Excellent mission, and not a bad landing for a woman! (I can make fun because "I 'r one".)

I was up on a hill in Hood County watching but we did not see anything. Too many clouds to the south of us.

You wouldn't have seen them -- their ground track didn't come close to Texas on this re-entry (and, frequently since Columbia, their ground track crosses a minimum of populated landmass, anyway.)
