Stargazing

Anyone done any stargazing lately? I miss it. I used to do it a *lot* more frequently than I do now. It's a shame, really, considering all the beauty and wonder that's literally hanging right above our heads, if only we'd look skyward once in awhile and stop to appreciate it. I'm as guilty of that these days as anyone.

Various celestial events, such as upcoming meteor showers, are included on our Wild Texas Calendar for those hoping to get a little stargazing in.

For example, National Dark Sky Week for 2006 is April 23-30

Pleiades, aka Seven Sisters or M45, is best viewed in January. Right now it's close to the western horizon at 9pm. And next month it'll be below the horizon at that time.
