Lightbulb Feb 20

Hey guys,

a rare primetime lunar eclipse will take place on this date. These usuallu happen only late at night, but this one will occur during prime time , so the kiddos can enjoy it also. It will be the last one until 2011. Don't miss it!

Re: Feb 20

We had both a high layer of (cirrus?) clouds that fuzzed out the moon the entire time, and low bank of clouds that thankfully had enough gaps that we could at least locate the moon and have it peek out periodically from behind a cloud to reveal the eclipse's progress. No pics, sadly -- just no the conditions for it.

Check out this video from our local newspaper--that's basically all we saw from here:

Re: Feb 20

Some folks have much nicer astrophotography setups and much darker night skies!
