'Yaks!

Well, we had thought about going camping the last couple of days but the weather still isn't quite to our liking. Still a bit warm and humid so we decided to wait another week or two.

We did take the 'yaks out to Cleburne SP this morning for a couple of hours of paddling. Got there and on the water just at dawn and had a great time! "Zero" wind speed, glass-smooth and warm water and just enough overcast to keep from being burned. Couldn't have asked for better. Left the boats loaded in the back of the truck and will be going to Benbrook in the morning if the conditions continue. Can't pass it up !

Happy Camping!

Re: 'Yaks!

Had to fix a crack in one of ours,my brother some how dropped a flounder gig and made a small hole that started tracking.Drilled small hole at end of track, ruffed it up a little with a file, and JB welded it.Did this inside and outside, have a grey spot in a yellow yak.

Re: 'Yaks!

We tried it out today in the Old Brazos River, and it held up just fine.It was a little more wind then we wanted so we got a little wet.I'm going to try and find a mini-yak for my 4 year old.We saw them today, and the couple said they bought them in Houston,he is going to email me information. They have twin 5 year old boys and they were doing pretty good in the mini's.

Ouch ! They're proud of those, aren't they?

Hey! Just noticed we've got a couple of new "Smilies". I like the "2-cent" one(). Fits my thoughts and input right well.

Happy Camping!
