It's never too cold, , ya just gotta dress warmer![]()
Wanted to take the 'yaks out in the morning. Was hoping to be on the water by sun-up but just looked at the weather. Their talking about wind gusts over 30MPH and that's a bit more then I want to deal with. We could but it just isn't a lot of fun knowing your going to be fighting the wind, one way or the other. Worst of it is we may not get another chance before the weather gets too cold. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Happy Camping!

Took the kayak out yesterday afternoon and did some fly fishing on Lake Granbury. Not too much wind and it was great. I did not catch anything but it was fun being out there.
Cool! Where did you put in?

I live on the Lake in Jackson Heights, right across from Indian Harbor/Canyon Creek. I fished in the sheltered cove next to my house. Can't wait until spring to do that again.
Is that the area where 144 crosses over the lake with Spanish Trail Drive on the north and Hill Top Road on the south? Father of a friend of mine used to live just south and east of there, on the lake. I believe the area he lived in WAS called Indian Harbor but I can't recall for sure. Been a good many years since the old boy passed away and I haven't seen my friend in 15+ years. He may not even be "above ground" by now. Any how and no matter what, it's got to be great to live on the lake!

Have Fun
Turn Key,
Indian Harbor is a little farther down the lake but I believe the trunoff is right where you said. Ducks and geese are starting to show up here. What a great fall season this has been.
Come on up to Stroud Creek in Thorp Spring. That's my neighborhood. There's about a mile of sheltered creek that's better than the open lake when the wind blows. There used to be a lot of fish there before the golden algea.
