Looking for kayaking and tubing areas

Hello

I'm from south texas and have been up to the area around New Braunfels. Is there any other areas (parks or otherwise) in the hill country where one can enjoy the same type of water activities such as kayaking and tubing. I believe that was the Guadalupe River and I remember the water being quite cold even in July. We simply drove up to one of may rental places and rented out tubes/kayak, went down the river for a couple of hours and were picked up and brought back to our car. I dont remember the exact location but it was somewhere west of New Braunfels probably off of hwy 46.

Edit:
After looking at the map maybe it was off of hwy 306 which runs just north of canyon lake and intersects the Guadalupe (I think)
