Thumbs up Guadalupe River

Just an FYI. The flow in the Guadalupe River near Guadalupe State Park is fantastic and water clarity is really good Just a word of warning for those in Canoes. Be careful. I seen two swamped canoe's this weekend. One was totaled, the other was in the process of being recovered
If you choose to run the river via kayak, you should not have any problems.

Good luck, See you on the water.

Exclamation Re: Guadalupe River

The San Marcos is one of my favorite rivers. I love how clear the water is!!!
As for the flow, I guess the word is out because guided kayak trips are way up It's been too long since we have had good river flow like this.

See you on the water!

Re: Guadalupe River

I ran the SM last week and the Blanco yesterday and both rivers seem to be doing great right now. I was able to get into some spots I am not normally able to Kayak into on the Blanco. Also I was over at the Aquarena Center last week and they said Spring Lake is the highest it has been in the last 20 years.

I am hoping to get around to the Guadalupe or Pedernales in the next week or so...

That's great news! I did a guided kayak trip on the Guadalupe Saturday from 3351 to Guadalupe State Park. The flow was at 450cfs and the gage height was 3.71. It was fantastic!!
