What about Disc Golf?

There are no other areas to post about this, so I figured that you have to walk when you play so it might as well be in here. I was wondering if anyone on here knows of any parks with Disc Golf courses?

Lake Lewisville has a course with nearby camping and Lake Arrowhead State Park has or had a course, its not on the web site that I can see so call first (use the parks index on left to locate Lake Arrowhead SP its near the Red River, west of Ft Worth)

Re: What about Disc Golf?

Lake Arrowhead is the only state park that I know of. I saw the coarse but didn't have time to play a round. There is a small description on the PDGA directory. http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=858 From what I saw it looked like all mesquite trees and knee high grass except for the narrow fairways that were mowed short. Must be played in cooler weather with bright colored disc if you tend to be like me and sling some wild throws into the rough.

'Yep' to Lake Arrowhead SP near Wichita Falls. We saw the signs and parts of the course when we camped there over Labor Day weekend. Didn't see anyone playing, though.

Hey, fellow golfer! Yeah I would suggest visiting the PDGA.com website to see which courses are near you or are near where you are visiting. Texas has more disc golf courses than any other state so I am sure that you will find one near you. Unless you visit Brownwood, then you are S.O.L.!
