Great Rock Climbing in Texas

Climb on!

Somewhere to climb in Texas that’s not out in the middle of the desert? And it’s free too? What’s the catch? There is none. We love climbing. We love climbers. We love free. It couldn’t be any simpler if we tried.

Camp Eagle, located in the Texas hill country, is proud to announce its emergence as a climbing venue. We have about a mile of cliff that gets as high as 185 feet. Our top-rope site is outfitted with stainless steel hardware for the easiest access you’ve every enjoyed. In addition, we have 8 sport routes bolted (from 5.8 to 5.11+) and are constructing more. There are also several incredible bouldering sites. For a small fee (it really is small) you can even stay the night or weekend and enjoy all the property has to offer: a cool clear river, star filled skies, and 1400 acres on which to roam.

When we are not climbing and mountain biking in the off-season, we serve as a summer camp and offer many services and adventure based activities to groups from all over. We do operate year-round and have people on-site, so don't hesitate to find the office and stop by if there is any way we can help.

For more information on climbing, accommodations, or anything else call 830-683-3219 or email info@campeagle.org for more information. Please sign in upon arrival to Camp Eagle. You can also check us out on the web, click on Outdoor Life for more info and some pics.

Hope to see you soon!
