Unhappy Lake Texoma Panoramic Photos

I've removed this post at the request of the host. I apologize, I wasn't aware that any advertisements were not permitted on this board. The user agreement said nothing that led me to believe that they were.

I recently spent one wonderful week at Lake Texoma with my family. The panoramic photographs that we took of this beautiful place turned out so well that I wanted to share them. I'm just an individual and I thought this would be a good place to do it.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Re: Now Available: Stunning Lake Texoma Panoramic Photos

Thanks for understanding. We are glad to have you here, Becky! As I mentioned in my private message (PM) to you, everyone's allowed to have a URL in their signature line, even if it's to a commercial website they own/operate. About the only limitation on signatures is no porn, nothing illegal, nothing defamatory, and nothing too excessive (like some of the spam we all receive with 10+ URLs listed).

As for our user agreement, you are right -- it isn't that specific (in fact, it's pretty much boilerplate) and I need to do something about that to prevent confusion. WildTexas.com is partially supported by advertising revenue through official, pre-arranged advertising agreements with providers such as Amazon and Google, but we avoid allowing individuals to use these forums as a free advertising venue without providing something in return (such as useful, helpful or interesting forum posts). We're a community here, who happens to be online, and we try to make it a mutually beneficial place to spend some time... rather than the virtual equivalent of a light pole at a busy street corner (with various flyers taped up on it, in various stages of decay.)
