New Pictures!

I finally got my camera working for a little while - still haven't sent it into the shop yet (after the 60' crash into rocks). But I went up to east Texas this past weekend and took some pictures. Nothing too spectacular, but a few nice images. Please feel free to leave any comments, words of advice, etc. They are welcomed! Take a look Click on "slideshow" at the top right corner to view as a slideshow.

It may be running a little slow for dial-up users. I do apologize.

If anyone wants any prints from the site, they can simply click on the photo until you have the highest resolution shot, then right click and "save picture as" onto your desktop (or where ever), then get your print from your favorite print source. I use EZprints personally.

Haven't had an opportunity to view them yet, but thanks for sharing -- I'm sure they capture the essence of the place and make me want to visit! The true mark of a great outdoor photo, indeed.

Thanks for sharing!

Re: New Pictures!

YAY! I finally got a decent digital, and one that isn't broken!! I also got a few lenses for my old Nikon F2 Photomic as well, so photography has been fun!

I bought the Canon 300D with the EF-S 18-55mm lens - which makes a fairly decent wide angle lens surprisingly - for $612 on ebay! But now I have to drool over the L lenses for a while until I can get some more money saved up. The EF-S just doesn't really do it for me, especially after looking through my Nikkor and Micro Nikkor lenses!!!! I just don't like the fact that there is no footages on the lens for manual focus, and I have become accustomed to the split center focus screen. So I am struggling with getting any of my manual focus shots right with this lens. Other than that, it isn't too bad for a cheap lens.

I have only taken a few pictures with it thus far, partly because I am having fun with all my lenses for my Nikon. If anyone is interested in checking the pictures out (I highly encourage some criticism!) http://brett.cmdx.com
