Image Software

Two programs make up my "digital darkroom" - PhotoShop 6.0 and PhotoImpact 6. When I need to get an image ready quickly (e.g. to send to family and friends via email) I like the quick, easy interface provided by PhotoImpact.

When I'm preparing an image for printing, publication or online display at OutdoorPhoto.com, I'll take advantage of PhotoShop's superior tools to get the job done.

What imaging software do YOU use and find helpful for your scanned images or digital photos?

Has anyone used PhotoShop 7? I've been considering the upgrade.

Regards,
Justin Moore

Re: Image Software

I use GIMP. I use this program on all of my photos. Basically the same thing as Photoshop, but free.......

Re: Image Software

There are probably as many good photo editing apps as there are photographers. And don't even get me started of digital photo library management software -- everything from iPhoto and Picasa to ThumbsPlus and, what we currrently use, BreezeBrowser.

Whatever works is what individuals should use!
