Canon EOS Rebel 2000 / 28-105mm Aspherical IF

I have a Canon EOS Rebel 2000 / 28-105mm Aspherical IF. What is your thought on this camra? I want to use this camra for outdoor photography and extreme sports shots. What type and size of lense should I upgrade to? I'm a freshman in highschool so I dont really have any experence with a camra, I'm wanting to learn and try to get good.

Thanks,
James Benedict

James,

The answer lies in the age old price v performance dichotomy.

You probably want a lense that will get you "closer" to the action and fill the frame with your subject, a zoom in the 300 or 400mm range.

Some of these lenses are very affordable but may not have a mazimum aperature fast enough for you to "stop the action" when you want to. The "faster" lenses are more expensive. How much more???? It depends.

There is no, one right answer

You will have to decide what is most important, speed of lense or focal length, and fit that into what you can afford.
