I enjoyed your pics on the Big Bend area. My wife & I hope to get there on one of our many motor home trips. I've lived in Texas for approximately 30 years and have never been to the Big Bend area.

Glad you enjoyed the photos, fanman. That was our first trip to Big Bend National Park and far West Texas, as well. I can safely say you haven't fully experienced Texas if you haven't visited (and preferably stayed overnight in) Big Bend National Park. I would so like to return there... it's a beautiful place with a lot of history and abundant life -- desert life us city/country dwellers almost discount until we've been there.

I wish I could have taken a photo of the night sky out there. If it weren't for my tiredness each night after a day of hiking, and the bats that insisted on flying within 1 inch of my face as I sat outside in the wee hours, I could easily have spent all my nights there on a cot staring at the stars.

I never did fully document all 7 days of our trip to Big Bend, but here's the few days I managed to capture and transfer to the site: our Big Bend camping trip in 2001.

We are leaving tomorrow for Kerrville to stay a week then back up to East Texas. Your pics have made me try to do some re-arranging our plans to go to the BB area.
