Wi-Fi in Texas State Parks?

A pilot program to provide wireless Internet service at Texas State Parks begins January 1st. I have yet to find out which five parks are part of the pilot program, but they will likely be ones that are fairly well developed with a large RV camping contingent. The article indicates the pilot program may be focused on the Texas coast, where "winter Texans" (RV campers from colder climes who flock to Texas with the onset of winter) are prevalent.

If anyone has any other information on this, please share. It's intriguing.

Very intriguing indeed! The parks are: Choke Canyon State Park (Calliham) near Three Rivers, Blanco State Park near Blanco, Balmorhea State Park near Toyahvale, Goose Island State Park near Rockport, and Ray Roberts Lake State Park (Isle du Bois) near Pilot Point.

For details, see the TPWD Press Release.
