Re: Why aren't more pictures posted for Parks?

Well, looks like I'll have to lower the quality...got about half the pictures and ran out of space on the account.

Sorry. We cannot afford to host unlimited photo accounts due to disk space requirements. For $24.95 a year, Flickr lets you upload up to 2 gigabytes of photos per month. Might be worth looking into. There are plenty of free ones, too, I'm just a fan of Flickr for my personal photos (http://www.flickr.com/photos/wildtexas/).

Addendum: I just noticed you must have been referring to some other website, since there are no new photo uploads here on WildTexas.com. I'll leave my comments though since occasionally we get folks a little peeved that they cannot upload more photos without deleting old ones or resizing them.

Re: Why aren't more pictures posted for Parks?

No...I had uploaded about 8 or so, but deleted them while I'm resizing.

I've got other sources (photobucket, my own hosted domain) where I can host if I need to, but I just thought I'd go ahead and upload those here...not so much for hosting but to add to the library of destination. I think it would be great if we could make up for what the state lacks in visual documentation of the parks by adding our own here.

I've got no complaints about the limitations...I can certainly understand the storage and bandwidth situation on a free site.

Re: Why aren't more pictures posted for Parks?

Thanks for adding the category and approving them. It looks like the gallery software resizes to 600x450 for the page view (after clicking the thumbnail). I'm going to go ahead and resize them yet again so I have a little more room left over (had set them to 800x600).

Sorry for all the repetitive work.
