tent camping in Old Garner

Hi, I was wondering if you all had suggestions for a location within Old Garner for Tent Camping? Will I be surrounded by RVs? I will be going in two weeks, Thurs - Sun...so will have the weekend crowds.

While we like seclusion normally, we are going for the water recreational side this time.

What are your reservations for ? Water only or water and electricity ? If it is water only, there won't be a problem with RVs. Water and elec. maybe. Be prepared, the water will be like ICE. Inks Lake will be hot compared to the Frio. Check out new garner. Persimmon Hill puts you at the far end of the park. There is road noise but some of the sites are somewhat secluded. Have fun and let us know how it goes.

I have water and electric, but can change to water only. Right now I am in Oakmont. I thought Inks was cold. I guess they don't call it the Frio for nothing.

We stayed at #16 in oakmont and it was close to everything. We had Dd's tent and Pup.The loop was about 1/2 rv's and the other 1/2 tents.Water will make Inks fill like a hot tub, maybe it will warm up a little before you leave.Hope you have a great time, looks like we might get to go in June if things work out. Then back in August for Dd and dad trip.
