Cool It takes 1 million years for broken glass to breakdown

Before you bring glass containers, bring a garbage bag with you to take your trash home and dispose of it properly. Tell your neighbors, and wear shoes for goodness sake! Volunteer and help out. It will be worth your while

Instead of "Don't mess with Texas" how about..."Don't be so messy Texas!" We've much to be proud of here. Let's be BIG about the care and concern of our environment. Education and Awareness is key. Clean up after yourself, do we need to reward those who may not have a clue as to the damage they are doing?

We can't help but notice the level of pollution at our smallest (yet largest joy) here in San Antonio, Texas...WATER!!! From the deep and picturesque Medina Lake to the winding ways Guadalupe River. Environmental Water Pollution is everywhere! From this link alone, it is enough to sicken you...Glass bottles Usually reused or recycled. However, once broken, they take up to one million years to decay – they erode like rock.
Do you know how many broken glass bottles we discovered among the muscle shells at Medina Lake? Let's just say you better walk around with shoes on.

Let's show some backbone and come together for the future of this great state, the future of our environment and even our planet that we all come together and celebrate.!

I ask that we put more recycling programs into place, I can assist in heading them up if you like, though I've never done that I can help get it done. It's THAT much of a concern and you should be concerned.

I value the opportunities that our State has to offer, we should be diligent in our efforts to conserve, especially when it comes to the precious resource, WATER!

I agree with you, tkruitz. Texas boasts of its beautiful natural resources and I think that the least the we can do is to protect them. I think we must bring containers and garbage bags when we hike to dispose our trash properly.
