The August edition of the TPWD magazine has a nice article on cabins. Gives you a good overview of those available and the range in types. If you have never tried one, I would recommend a night or two. Not to replace "true" camping, but a refreshing change of pace.

We considered cabin camping for our first time to take our girls. But we don't have cots or any kind of cushioning for the beds in the cabins. So we're just better off camping with our tent. OR if we can only go camping after my husband gets off work a cabin would be great so we don't have to put a tent up in the dark.

The mini cabins have two bunk beds in them 4 beds total twin size .The cabins at Inks Lake are great ac can freeze you out in the mournings.
