QUICK! Help finding campsite in Texas!

OK I KNOW I'm gonna be scrabbling here. But I just bought a pop-up camper & I'm driving Sunday to get it 250 miles away. I would like to camp out Sunday night either around the Ft Worth/Dallas area in Texas or going back down towards Houston on I-45 somewhere. Any ideas??

Public or state park OK. Water a MUST! Will have 2 kids with me--9 & 12. Thanks for any ideas!

Re: QUICK! Help finding campsite in Texas!

Well, I don't believe it but Cedar Hill State Park on Joe Pool Lake is showing some sites available for the 28th. You can call the reservation center at this number;

512-389-8900

They should also be able to tell you if there any sites open at other state parks that might better suit your needs. Fairfield Lake State Park may also work for you.

Hope this helps. Good luck and happy camping!
