Purti Creek vs. Cleburn

Any opinions on which is the nicer park to go to for a short weekend trip? Interests: hiking with a dog, pretty scenery, relaxing, clean restrooms. Suggestions of particular site numbers would be great, if you know of any. Ideally, I imagine a site that's right next to a scenic trail where we could hike and then loop around back to our campsite. Any suggestions?

Re: Purti Creek vs. Cleburn

For what you are wanting to do either park would be fun. Purtis is newer and the lake bigger and deeper. Nice facilities at both, just that Cleburne is showing it's age.

Which ever one you choose, enjoy your visit.
