Our family is looking for a campground to have a "gathering" at next spring and I would love to know your thoughts on places we should look into. Sites must have cabins and tent sites. Things of interest would be place to swim/water sports, easy hiking/nature trails, caving, fishing, etc. Relatives range in age from toddlers, pre-teen to teen, 30's, 60+. A pavilion for gathering as a group would be nice but not a necessity. Relatives will be coming from Houston area, Baton Rouge and Dallas so something centrally located would be nice.

You might look at McCown Valley Park on Whitney Lake. Its a "COE" park with very nice group facilities. Here's a link to a review I did on this park. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Thanks! I've printed the information to bring to our reunion this weekend. Most of the family lives in Texas so they may know of these places already.
