Thumbs up Lake Tawakoni SP August 2008

Ok even with a trailer 104 is hot, did two nights at Lake Tawakoni and took a few pictures, had to visit the uni bathrooms while there (see links below)which were wide open, park was about 1/3 full only one brave tent family with large fans, rest of us nuts in trailers and when inside running the A/C. Did swim in the AM but by 11 it was getting warm. Fish were biting real well (catfish, sunfish and bass. in early evening) as fishermen were out then

for a past report Lake Tawakani State Park review

Hard to believe it was that cool one year ago

for some pictures

Slideshow of pictures, photos, and videos, from webshots

stay cool

How well do the covers for the beds work? I too have a hybrid and the bed areas can sure get warm. Oh, and where does one find them?

Thanks

The covers work real well, we had some for years with the pop-up, just got one for the hybrid now (we rarely use the back end currently so only got one )
Anyway they not only help relect heat, we forgot how dark they make the tent end, In summer when the sun is up early it was nice to have.

I guess it kept out at least 15 degrees, maybe more.

anyway they have a web site PopupGizmos He is alocal camper

and he will ship them to you. What kind of hybrid do you have? We always seem to be modifying now, adding selves, hooks, key holders, ect.

Thanks for the link, I will check them out. We have a Jayco Kiwi (21ft) and often only open the one side.
