Smile Lake Ouachita S P, Hot Springs AR 9/07

Ok its not Texas but hey its camping :0

Lake Ouchita SP (wash i taw) is 300 miles east of Plano, with a side stop at Bob Sandlin SP it was 320 miles one way. The park is located just north of Hot Springs Arkansas It has a large amount of shoreline. The park has cabins,(fully equipped some year round) and 101 capsites. We were in area D (visit the website for more details that I may leave out)

Really nicely located campsites under the trees next to the lake, the lake with a marina to rent all sorts of toys or to fish on is the main draw. Had a great time despite rain, Spent a day in Hot Springs National Park, that was a different era for sure. Only disappopintment was no ranger events while we were there. You can reserve by site # avoid #100 and #99 at all costs if you have a trailer.
