Thanks for sharing, looks like she likes camping !and I quote "I do"
Justin, Sara (AKA Kidlet) and I camped overnight at Guadalupe River State Park on Wednesday. Had an awesome time and hope to have an opportunity to post a new trip report, but wanted to share some of the pics in the meantime. We'd reserved a site for two nights but kidlet developed a bit of a fever and was getting eaten alive by bugs (despite citronella, etc.) so we decided to end on a positive note and break camp a day early.
Here are some of the pics from our camping trip -> Tent Camping Trip #2 - a set on Flickr
And here's a cute, short video of Justin interviewing her at the end of the trip. (I'm surprised she didn't mention the river or the playground as she wanted to spend a lot of time at both!)

Shannon,
I haven't been on here too much this past year & shocked to see Sara. She has grown so much! Such a beautiful girl!!! I'm glad she likes your outdoor enthusiasm!

Hi Shannon,
The pics look great! I have never been to Guadalupe River State Park before, but after looking at your pics I made reservations for the end of July!!![]()
Any electric sites you recommend? Also, how large are the tent pads? my tent is 11X11, not sure if it'll fit.
Xesse:
Tent pads at Guadalupe River SP are 16x16 if I recall correctly. Plenty of room. The rangers are excellent about suggesting a campsite, so I'd ask them for their recommendation based on your needs (ours morphed from "As far as possible away from restrooms and playgrounds" to, with Sara, "within walking distance but *not* on top of a playground." We've only stayed in the electric sites once I think, when the walk-in area was being upgraded years ago.
Thanks for the comments, everyone! Sorry I've been missing in action a bit. Trying to keep too many pots on the fire.
