Inks Lake question

Do they have hiking guide (like on their website) available at the park? Do they give you a map when you get there or should I have it all printed and with me? Thanks!

Our first trip to Inks tomorrow! The kids are getting antsy.

Re: Inks Lake question

The map you see on their site is a PDF reproduction of the map you get at the park. You'll have all the same info. Grab a couple copies when you sign in and have a great time!

Happy Camping!

Re: Inks Lake question

Inks can be a little difficult to navigate without a map. Everything of the left side of the park makes sense, but when you turn to the right, there are lots of camping loops. I got turned around a few times before I learned to turn at the dumpster. Look for landmarks to keep you in the right direction.

Here is something we did every afternoon. We got an ice cream at the store (it was summer) and played checkers on the back deck overlooking the paddle boat dock. Just another something to do. Have fun.

Re: Inks Lake question

"campermom" is dead-on with her advice! Park has a great store and the north side is a great place to hang out and watch the fun on the lake.

Bit of advice; try not to get to the park before noon tomorow and after 2 PM would probably be better. By that time, all the "weekend warriors" are gone and you have your best choice of sites. Also the park will be quieter and the park's wildlife will be returning. Watch for deer in this park as there are many!

Happy Camping!
