Government Canyon Workday
Please see below. Government Canyon SNA is but one park that might be looking for volunteers on National Trails Day on Saturday, June 2nd. It is a great way to support our parks……….and have fun, too.
So just in case you are interested:
Quote:
Trail Patrol Members and Mentees,
The National Trails Day is Saturday, June 2, 2007. All across the nation, groups are building, repairing and maintaining trails and trail systems. With the recent blessing of large amounts of rain, the GCSNA trail system can use a nice manicure.
We have planned a work day on June 2 to celebrate National Trails Day at Government Canyon. We are inviting not only our Trail Patrol members and Mentees, but also the Friends of Government Canyon group to join us and the public as well.
In order to effectively plan the event, we need an idea of who volunteer on June 2. Please email me as soon as possible if you can assist.
The tentative plans for the workday are to meet at the Volunteer gate at 7:30 am, travel over to parking lot B, assemble into work groups and go out on the trails. We are hoping to start at 8:00 am and return to the Visitors Center not later than noon.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to your responses.
