We have pretty much camped all over Texas and New Mexico, except for the Davis Mountains. Our Spring break here in West Texas is around the 15th of March. We are planning to spend 4 good camping days there. I need suggestions on things to do around the area, and really anything else you folks think we should check out! We love anything! Thanks heaps!

My son & I were there the entire week of SB in '08. It was windy but sunny -- during the day it was about 65-70; at night it went down to the 40's.
We actually stayed at the Prude Ranch. They have hookups and are about a mile further out on the same road as the SP. They have an indoor pool, horse rides/hay rides, nightly buffets, etc. We liked it a lot.
Even if you don't stay there, you might like to check out the trailrides they do in the mountains. They have a number of them to choose from!
Thanks everyone. Were looking foward to going there, and I hope we get to do some fun things. We are big NM, and Colorado fans, but around Spring Break, it's limited on where we can go. We could just pitch a tent in the backyard, and enjoy the same weather as Davis Mountains, but the only action we'd be seeing is the dog and cats fighting, and our neighbors sitting naked in thier hot tub...ewwww, I can't stand the thought!!
Thanks heaps!
The Davis Mountain Preserve is a really cool place in the Davis Mountains. They are usually open on the weekends for dayhikes and you can summit Mt Livermore which is one of the 5 tallest peaks in TX!!
And for nighttime adventure, try to fit in a Star Party!!
