Cooper Lake (South Sulper Unit)

Hello to all,

We just got back last night from Cooper. The weather was great (a little chilly at night/morning). We went with another family and all had a good time. We took the kids bikes for the first time and I can already tell that it won't be long until I can't keep them as close to the site as we do now. Hannah, my 7 year old is already wanting to ride around with the other kids that she naturally befriends. Colton, my 5 year old isn't quite as outgoing yet but it is just a matter of time. Then there is Carter, my three year old that still doesn't have the bicycle thing down to an art. Anyway, the park was completely booked even though there were a couple of spots no one ever claimed. Unlike the weekend before at Tyler where there didn't seem to many kids, this weekend was filled with all of the kid noises that let us know how much fun everyone at the park is having. We met several new people and as always we ran into some people that live right in our own back yards. It never seems to amaze me that no matter where we go or how far it might be we always meet people that live only a few miles from us. That is one of the great things about camping. Other than letting the kids get out and enjoy nature, you also meet really nice people and usually get good ideas on how to make your next trip more enjoyable by seeing some of the things other people do or what kind of novel ideas they have. Anyway, just thought I would share. Hope everyone is doing well and having as great of a time as we are camping.
