Hello everyone! My family and I (wife, 2 children-- ages 4 & 9) would like to plan next year's summer vacation in Concan. We wanted to stay in Garner; however, we would prefer to stay in cabins with A/C (both of my children have horrible allergies).
What are the best cabins, or what is the best resort on the Frio River near Garner? Another family will be going with us, so we could either rent 2 cabins or 1 large one.
There is a place called Seven Bluffs that is closer to Concan than Garner with nice clean cabins and walking distance to the river. Also there is a place called Bent River Retreat. I have friends that stay there and they like it. Each of these have air conditioning and good river access. Good luck. We stay at a place on the other side of Leakey called Camp Liveoak, again air conditioned with good river within walking distance or you can take your car and chairs, snacks and drinks right to a bluff at the rivers edge.
There are some great spots to stay and one of our favorites is Frio Acres River Cabins,with Seven Bluffs a close second.But the very best is still our trailer at Garner State Park.We will be there in August with our crazy Brazosport Crew,hope you have a great time.
