Re: Cleburne SP

Here you go. Wrote this about 18 months ago. Nothing much has changed since. Lake level should be in real good shape. I'm thinging about taking our 'yaks out there Thursday or Friday morning but not sure if we'll go there or elsewhere.

Hope this helps and,

Happy Camping!

Re: Cleburne SP

We stayed there last year (3 nights I think) and found the park to be very nice. We had a space that was almost completely shaded and on the edge of the water. We used the park as our base camp and took side/day trips to Dinosaur Valley SP, Meridian SP, and Dublin to visit the Dr Pepper museum (picked up several cases of the pure cane suger "original recipe" Dr Pepper as it is not available down here in SA). It is not crowded or busy like Guadalupe SP, a more laid back and relaxed atmosphere.

Re: Cleburne SP

We camped there this past NY's with a daytrip to Dinosaur Valley. Stayed in the North Creek loop, site43, near the amphitheater. Nice park.

Do try to make sure you fuel up and bring everything you'll need the first time. Else it's a loooong, winding trip in and out of the park and about a 20 minute ride to the nearest grocery store/gas station.
