Camp Wood area

Next time you want to go to the Frio or the Sabinal, keep driving on RR 337 to Camp Wood. The Nueces River is a beautiful place and there is camping and places to stay that are far less expensive than any you will find in the more popular towns.

If you want information, please read this post. There are also posts here and here. For an overview map, see THCRR website.

Re: Camp Wood area

thank you for the post, i have made reservations at chalk bluff for early next month, it looks to be the perfect spot for the familys first camping trip. if the wife likes it (kids always like camping) maybe we can start going more often.
