Best Rv Spot in Leakey/Concan/Frio River?

Hello,
I am looking for some advice as to a good park to stay in near the leakey/concan/frio river area. I have 3 little kids, a 2 year old and twin 4 year olds so I am looking for something really close to the river, possibly even with a view of the river from the RV? Also, something not too deep, where the kids can wade in and play...Shade would be welcome as well in this heat wave! I hope that is not too much to ask for, we love the area. It just seems like most of the nicer spots are for cabins and there isn't a very big selection for Rv's.

Thanks for any advice!

Check out Funrivers spot for camp grounds. There are many places listed along the frio.
As dry as it is this year, finding a low spot for the kiddos is not a problem.

Re: Best Rv Spot in Leakey/Concan/Frio River?

Thanks 4everfrio!

I apologize for the delayed response and help.. We get pretty swamped during the summer and get caught up with all the irons in the fire.

There's a few places that would fit your criteria.. CR 350 has quite options that are on the river.. However, they are built up higher on a bluff so it's not always or necessarily a look down to the river..

But definitely ones to check out include:

Nana's
Parkview Riverside
Camp Riverview
River Rim Resort

& There's Frio River RV Park in Leakey next to Clearwater Ranch

you can find links and more information here:

Frio River Area Lodges, Cabins, RV Parks, Camping Sites, & More

I hope that helps!
