Hello all,

Long time reader but first time poster here, wondering if you can help me out. For my partner's 30th birthday I wanted to treat her to the Canopy Tour at Cypress Valley Canopy, but my plan was dashed when I found out that the place would be closed that weekend (Easter). So, does anyone have any suggestions on any similar activity around the area? I've already planned some hiking for us, and maybe a trip to Krause Springs, but would love to have something as cool as the Canopy Tour as the highlight of our trip.

I'd appreciate any suggestion.

I don't know of anything that compares to the Canopy Tour but Hamilton Pool Preserve is an awesome place to spend some quiet time. Get there early and you'll probably have it to yourselves until 11 or so. Be sure to take the trail down to the Pedernales River, too. It's an easy round trip hike but really nice scenery. Enjoy the Hill country!!
