We are heading up there in two weeks for a short getaway.

If I remember correctly, 10 for an hour, 25 for 4 hours and 50 for the day.
There are also pedal boats, and kayaks. I might have included the prices in a trip report from June 2006.

In answer to your question, I don't recall the exact cost but I felt it more then it should be. None the less, Inks has a great park store and I really have a hard time not recommending it for anything you may need. Plus, their rental fees are no higher then I've seen elsewhere and the money goes to support the park.

Have you been to Inks before? I have a couple of reviews posted to this site that might help you enjoy your trip more. Let me know if your interested and I'll post the links.

thanks! We've been camping before - the really rough kind, but not since 99. We used to live in Longview and would go to some primitive island. You had to row to the island to get there, snakes and probably alligators..... I can't remember the name. But since 99 we have added 3 kids and we are not acclimated to roughing like we used to. We are taking the tent out to check it out and staying in the small cabin (for the kids sake We are starting our outdoor adventures again since our youngest will be 4 years old in a couple of weeks.

I have forgotten all my skills, so i have been reading and researching. It's amazing how much more careful I am, before, we would just take off.

Turn Key

You'll love the new cabins that have been built on the sites of the old ones. Cinderblock construction, AC/heat, bunkbeds and some other goodies as I recall. Much nicer then the old screen huts. There is also a near-new shower house for that area. Also, if your there on the weekend, don't miss out on "Mike's Texas BBQ"! Good stuff!
