I had investigated it at one time. There is no water/elec. & only porta-potties available.
I also understood that the after-hours partying around the bonfire is not ummmm, family-friendly. So I decided to skip it as I had a 10-YO son at the time.
I'm thinking of camping the night before our visit since the drive is long. Are there other options near the Ren Fest that might be nicer than camping on the festival grounds? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Thank you so much because that is exactly what I wanted to know - I'm bringing my young children with me.![]()
Haven't camped there but last weekend we went to RenFest and I did notice one large area designated for "family camping" only. Also a sign about paying to camp. ??? I thought it was for free. Lake Conroe is not too far away and there is also a large KOA kampground in Conroe.
Lake Conroe/Houston North Camping, Lake Conroe/Houston North Campground in Texas - KOA in Lake Conroe/Houston North
The place I would go is Spring Creek Park in Tomball TX. It would be about 30 minutes from the Ren Festival grounds. See here: Precinct 4 Parks
Free camping/RV sites. Full hookups. No ground fires. You have to call for ressies but they're usually available.
