We had gone to the mall last year and told the son that the reindeer were on the roof of the mall. Santa doesn't have time to wrap his gifts so if it ain't wrapped, Santa brought it ( so I don't have to wrap a desk and chair, or a bike). The snack this year was cookies, the kind in a lunch pack, we made sure we left the empty wrapper with the note to Santa.

Our little one isn't here yet, but I'm three years older than my brother and after "all was revealed" to me, I spent the next 2-3 Christmases helping keep it alive for him... by answering his letters to Santa, complete with reindeer hoofmarks for "authentication".

My brother and I still swear we heard bells on the roof one Christmas morning, but our parents have never fessed up to that one! hehe
