Using Satelite TV in your RV

Looking for some one to explain to me how to go from camp site to site using the satelite. What is the best and the conditions for a traveling RV Satelite TV.

Thanks
Tommy

Re: Using Satelite TV in your RV

If you have satellite TV at home through DirecTV or Dish Network, you may take one receiver with you on the road. This requires a satellite dish or dome and some paperwork. I have the forms on my website in the library.

Complete the waiver forms for traveling with your Satellite TV Receiver. DishNetwork is free last time I checked, DirectTV was $5-6 per month extra. You will receive broadcast network programming including ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and FOX.

Now if you want to have TV while moving, you will need the high dollar antenna you can find it at Camping World or other RV store.

If you have a crank-up TV satellite by Wingard, there is a crank-up sat dish by the same. You can just swap it out.

Their is a portable satellite dish that allows you, with the help of a length of cable, to move it around for best reception.

There is also Internet service available with yet another dish and service, too.

Re: Using Satelite TV in your RV

Tommy,

I'm with DishNetWork and ended up with an extra receiver, dish and LNB after a hardware upgrade last year, I pay $5/mth extra for service to that receiver but didn't fill out any additional paperwork. The guys that came out on the service call actually helped me put together everything I needed to make it work in our camper (tripod, cable, fittings, etc.).
