I'm in need of some help. I'm looking for something that was once easy to find but seems to have become "scarce as hen's teeth". I speak of that once well know peddler of Tyler Roses, often found on any intersection during warmer weather. For as long as I can recall, these gallant individuals braved city and highway traffic to provide joy for the wives of husbands everywhere here in the Metroplex. Any husband in need of forgiveness or just wishing to make his wife happy could purchase one to a dozen of some of the prettiest flowers you would ever wish to see. This from the comfort of his car as he waited for the light to change. For years in my younger life, I could rarely take advantage of this, given the thinness of my wallet. Now that I've been blessed well beyond what I deserve, I can no longer find these bold entrepreneurs on our city streets and by-ways. Brian Burns brought this loss to my mind in his song "Thunderstorms and Tyler Roses". I find myself wondering what has become of these providers of beauty and if I am the only one who laments their demise? Have you seen these hearty souls and if so, where?

Turn Key come to think of it, now that you jogged the brain cells, it has been awhile since I have seen one. Used to be 2 dollars a dozen and I think the last stand I saw had gotten up to 5 a dozen. Can't help you in your quest but good luck in the hunt. Funny how things you took for granted slip away, and we never notice they are gone.
