The last of the seven (discussed other six in similar titles in this forum) is
Guadalupe peak in the National park. (
BIG BEND COUNTRY) The top of this place is some 8,749 feet (small compared to the rockies) but large in the eyes of Texas
The trail which is covered in the hiking section is some 8.4 miles, Its rugged and steep
We did not do this hike when we went (did the hike into McKittrick Canyon instead)
Guadalupe Mountains National Park - Guadalupe Mountains National Park - McKittrick Canyon (U.S. National Park Service)
it goes to 7,700 ft so the Guadalupe peak trail is 1,000 feet higher !
So now we have to see what they missed. Both the
South Texas Plains and
Praires and Lakes were not represented in this review.
Let nominate some wonders of nature from those areas or even the others to continue the journey into the natural wonders of Texas
As GS sings " When that sun is high in that Texas sky I'll be bucking it to county fair. Amarillo by morning, Amarillo I'll be there."
