survival

hey i need to find a park where they allow you can do survival training, such as forging and hunting.....is there any place near fort worth or dallas that allows that?

The closest thing I could think of would be a national forest such as Angelina or Davey Crockett? You can pretty much do as you wish but the hunting may be an obstacle?
State parks would surely be out with the hunting.

Parks are out, unless you are really sneaky. They want you to stay on the trails. That's more of a private land activity. You just have to find some guy with a few thousand acres you can play on.

That could be part of the fun.....Survival practice with a pissed off farmer or rancher? A real test for sure......

Toejam, I noticed you are from Granbury....My wife loves Barking Rock wine.

That's not what I was thinking of. But pirate camping on private land would be more of a challenge. I guess playing with guns on somebody's ranch is usually called a "deer lease" and can cost thousands of dollars.

I live right down the road from the Barking Rocks winery - it's good stuff!

My sons girlfriend is their Niece....Still no discount? But if it makes the wife happy and easier to get along with then that's fine!!
