Unhappy Rain...Or Lack Of It!

Watched the weather report this last evening, like I expected anything to change. Weather man said that we can be looking for some rain...in about 2 weeks, maybe !!!! I've seen some dry spells in my time but this is about the worst that I can recall. The summer of '80 was terribly hot and dry but the worst of that only lasted about 2 months. This started last summer with no real end in sight. Don't know about anyone else but I don't believe I'm even going to mess with a garden this year. Ground's way too dry and enough rain to make a difference before planting will float us away. Hope we get some rain before our Hill Country trip in April. Will have to wait and see.

Happy Camping!

Re: Rain...Or Lack Of It!

The wife and I miss sitting around the campfire the most...We have actually resortred to a small propane heater...we huddle around and watch ballgames outside??

No one I talk to remembers any time that this has happened this time of year. Really is strange!!

Re: Rain...Or Lack Of It!

It has been strangely dry.. but we did have a very wet late summer and fall.. at least around here and to the West.

Soon enough, it will rain... and more than we want. Just hope we don't see any fires around here, the good rains produced a bunch of tall grass that is now tinder dry.

Adios,

Adios,
Not here....We have not had a measurable rain with the exception of 1/4" from Rita. It has to be 6 months. 50% tonight though??????
