Newbie from New Braunfels

Hello All,

My name is Ray and I discovered this site while doing some research on camping. I have to say that I am really impressed with the info here.

About me...

My wife and I retired from the rat race and now work at home. We run some websites, one of which is called Wisdom Farms where we teach Christian stewardship and getting back to the simple life. We live a "homesteading" lifestyle on a 400 acre ranch, which is NOT ours but we rent. Nice thing is that we have full access to the ranch including hunting and fishing. Small game and catch and release bass.

We homeschool our kids and I have been teaching my son outdoor skills and was that was one reason why I was drawn to this site.

If anyone knows of any good WMA areas open to hunting and camping, please let me know. We are getting our hunting / fishing license as well as our WMA passes.

Look forward to the chit chat

Ray

Howdy Ray,

Yip, this site is great! Its about camping, caving, everything tourist. But I did wonder about the farm... discussion about the life for which Texas is just to unique about. I see that you are into it. Must be the best life that you are living. Its my dream like that you are living. ...

I wish you all the best in whatever you do. I also design websites... and I am a Director of a firm which sells leather and saddles... www.steorraintl.com

However, I am basically a student and a traveller. Its my dad's company and I help him around.

I have some experience on camping alone aswell....but in tropical forests and jungles. For example the Mangroove forest...and the tiger reserves.

Nice to know you

This is a great website!

My in-laws live near Canyon Lake & we visit there often. How wonderful to live on a ranch there!
