My Recent Absence

Not that I've been particularly helpful/useful around here anyway, but I wanted to apologize for my recent absence from the site and the delays in the updates/improvements I announced some time back.

There's no excuse for some of the delays, but most recently I've been caring for my mother who was hospitalized for 8 days and was released just yesterday afternoon. She is resting comfortably, at least when she's not being stubborn (God love her!) and running errands alone as she is doing right now.

God and family first Shannon. Sounds like she is well on her way to recovery. Glad to have you back.

Re: My Recent Absence

Glad your mom is okay. My mother in law lived with me for three months earlier this year for knee replacement surgery and I survived, but helping someone else heal has to be selfless. As campermom said, God and family first! Glad you're back.

Re: My Recent Absence

Mom is faring well and we're blessed that we live close to her and Dad. She's got a load of doctors appointments coming up to see if they can't diagnose WHY she got ill and help treat any residual issues, as well as continue managing her Rheumatoid Arthritis. She means the world to our family and we're doing our best to make sure she's happy and healthy. It's really good to see her back at home.

My thoughts go out to those of you who've been in similar or more stressful/saddening circumstances.
