Mind the Dust (Don't Blink!) ;)

I'm doing a little renaming and rearranging of the forums this afternoon. No posts will disappear, but some may be moved to more relevant forums. For example, all "geocaching" related posts were sprinkled throughout the various forums (Parks & Recreation Areas, General, etc.) and they now are located in their own, new, Geocaching & GPS forum.

If I make any changes that seem oddball, or you have a suggestion to make something better/easier to use, just holler! I welcome the input.

PS: I once had a Golf forum, since that's an outdoor recreation activity in my book, but I tended to get emails from purists now and then that Golf's not an outdoor sport. Well, neither is outdoor photography, or gardening, but I love both of those and there are forums here for them. So, yep, we have a Golf forum again. Just in case someone wants to discuss the various courses we have at the Texas State Parks, as well as the innumerable courses we have around the state (a large number of them being within a radius of our home town, San Antonio).

Thanks for putting up with the temporary dust cloud as I muck around under the hood!

Thanks,

- Shannon

Re: Mind the Dust (Don't Blink!) ;)

I've done most of what I planned on doing, but still have more threads to locate to their new "homes" (new forums).

However, since Justin and I just got back from the eye doctor and we both have massively dilated eyes, I think it'll be a little while before I complete this project -- like when i can actually read what I'm typing on screen!

Thanks for the patience as I muck around here...

Re: Mind the Dust (Don't Blink!) ;)

There's still some more stuff to move around, and so far I haven't had any complaints on the changes. If you have any suggestions or annoyances my changes have caused, let me hear them (here or in PM, either is A-OK).

Also, I swear I'll be updating the park pages soon. I just got an email from a park official at one of Travis County's parks letting me know the entry fees I'd listed for that park were outdated. He was nice about it, but he noted the fees had changed 1.5 years ago. Folks, if you notice something "just ain't right" here, whether it's fees, something not functioning properly on the site (or seeming not to), or whatnot, let me know. I do my best to monitor this site, but it's just one of several that I run these days while handling our primary business (Moore Photography & Design -- fine art prints, portraits and stock photography).

Thanks, gang!

PS: The contest kind of died out due to lack of time and, more importantly, lack of prizes. If you have suggestions on low cost prizes, let 'er rip! T-shirts? Mouse pads? Other WildTexas.com swag? I wasn't sure if folks would care for that as much as the coupons I gave out initially, and had a limited supply of.
