Lake homes (humor me)

I know this has nothing to do with camping but there is nowhere else to post it on this forum. I am looking for a lake house somewhere within 2-3 hours of DFW. I have seen a couple lakes and haven't found any good properties. The other problem is a lot of the lakes we saw would lose their beach due to the low summer water levels. Anyone know of any lakes that fluctuate very little? If you know any good lakes let me know, thank you.

Re: Lake homes (humor me)

At the end of my street, Lake Granbury fluctuates very little. There are still some affordable places on this lake. That won't last long though due to a bedroom community boom and lots of real estate money from California.

Re: Lake homes (humor me)

Houston County Lake outside of Crockett. I have lived here 5 years and this summer we were 1.5' down from normal. Spring fed, Hills, Trees and great bass, catfish and crappie fishing. Nice and quiet as well
Still fairly affordable but is rising in prices quite quickly.... We love it

Also lake Palestine, Lake Jacksonville???
