Always ashame when you have to miss some of the nicest hiking weather. But it's a small world and we have to alllow everyone to enjoy it. Sate parks may still have scheduled hunts.

Agreed. For trip planning at state-managed units, folks should always check the TPWD Events Calendar. Due to the volume of activities listed, we don't mirror those here on our Wild Texas Events Calendar.

You also have Lake Sommerville, Lake Georgetown (they have bow season only) and Fairflield that are still fairly local.
